The Territorial Election Commission:

Organizes the preparation and conduct of elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputies of the Legislative Chamber, and local Kengashes in the relevant territory;

Exercises control over the implementation of this Code in the relevant territory, ensures its uniform application, and provides explanations on issues related to the organization and conduct of elections;

Forms electoral districts for elections to the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies, assigns them names and numbers, publishes the boundaries, number of voters, list of electoral districts, and information about the location of the electoral commissions of these districts;

Forms district, city, and district election commissions and publishes information about their composition and location;

Supervises the activities of the relevant district, city, district, and precinct election commissions;

Forms electoral districts for elections to the district, city Kengash of people's deputies of the newly formed district, city;

Forms polling stations, assigns their serial numbers by district, and publishes their list with addresses;

Informs voters about the location of polling stations;

Forms precinct election commissions and publishes information about their composition;

Directs the work of district, city, district, and precinct election commissions, and may independently or upon the proposal of the prosecutor of the region, district, or city cancel their decisions if these decisions contradict this Code;

Registers candidates for deputies of the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies in the established manner and organizes the official publication of information about them;

Issues certificates to registered candidates;

Ensures equal conditions for candidates and political parties to participate in the election campaign;

Registers authorized representatives of candidates for deputies of the Legislative Chamber and deputies of the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies and issues them appropriate certificates;

Ensures the publication of biographies and main directions of the programs of registered candidates for deputies and their delivery to precincts;

Accredits representatives of local media covering elections at the level of the region, Tashkent city, and issues appropriate certificates;

Registers observers from political parties and bodies of citizens' self-government;

Distributes funds to the relevant election commissions, controls the provision of election commissions with premises, transport, and communication means, and addresses other issues of material and technical support for elections;

Ensures the production of ballot papers for elections to the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies, protocols of election commissions, its seal, and other election documents;

Hears reports from representatives of political parties, other public associations, local authorities, bodies of citizens' self-government, and heads of enterprises, institutions, and organizations on issues related to the preparation and conduct of elections;

Summarizes the results of elections to the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies, registers elected deputies, publishes in the press the results of elections and lists of elected deputies;

Issues deputies certificates and badges of deputies of the regional, Tashkent city Kengash;

Organizes the conduct of repeat elections of deputies of the regional, Tashkent city Kengash, as well as elections of deputies instead of those who have withdrawn;

Considers appeals from voters and other participants in the electoral process, except complaints about the actions and decisions of election commissions, and makes decisions on them;

Transmits to the court or relevant law enforcement agencies materials on violations of the requirements of this Code;

Ensures the transfer of documentation related to the organization and conduct of elections to archives and departmental archives;

Establishes and transmits to the Central Election Commission the results of elections in the relevant territory for the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and deputies of the Legislative Chamber;

Informs the relevant regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies about the results of elections to the regional, Tashkent city Kengash of people's deputies;

Reports to the Central Election Commission on the results of elections to local Kengashes.

The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Karakalpakstan exercises the powers of territorial election commissions provided by this Code, related to the preparation and conduct of elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and deputies of the Legislative Chamber in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
